Your impact

Great growth decisions start with reliable data.

At Pennylane, we're building the financial operating system for European businesses. As we grow and expand into new markets, understanding how users discover, interact with and adopt our product is becoming increasingly important.

That's where Growth Engineering comes in.

We're looking for a Growth Engineer with strong data and tracking expertise to help us build reliable, scalable tracking and analytics foundations across our digital acquisition journeys.

You'll join our Growth Engineering team and work closely with Thomas, our Growth Engineering Team Lead, within the Marketing Website squad.

Your mission ? Make sure we collect the right data, trust what we measure and turn insights into better growth decisions.

What you'll do

Build reliable tracking foundations

You'll own the technical implementation and reliability of tracking across our website and acquisition funnels.

  • Design, implement and maintain tracking plans across key user journeys.

  • Build and improve event tracking, user identification and data collection.

  • Work with tools such as Segment, Amplitude and Google Tag Manager.

  • Ensure tracking consistency, accuracy and reliability across our digital ecosystem.

  • Identify and resolve tracking issues before they impact business decisions.

Connect data across our growth ecosystem

You'll help build the technical connections between our website, internal systems and analytics tools.

  • Develop and maintain APIs and integrations between platforms.

  • Ensure reliable data flows between our acquisition, product and analytics tools.

  • Collaborate with Data teams to improve data quality and consistency.

  • Support the evolution of our tracking architecture as Pennylane scales internationally.

Power experimentation and conversion

You'll work closely with Growth, Marketing and Data teams to understand user behavior and improve acquisition performance.

  • Implement the technical foundations for A/B testing and experimentation.

  • Help measure acquisition funnels and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Ensure experiments are properly tracked and measurable.

  • Translate business questions into clear technical tracking requirements.

  • Support data-driven decisions through reliable instrumentation.

Contribute as an engineer

This is an engineering role, not a reporting or dashboarding position.

You'll be expected to bring strong technical fundamentals and take ownership of your work.

  • Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code.

  • Build scalable and reliable technical solutions.

  • Investigate complex tracking and data issues.

  • Improve existing systems, processes and documentation.

  • Collaborate with engineers across Growth, Engineering and Data teams.

  • Contribute to technical decisions and engineering best practices.

Who are you?

We're looking for an engineer who understands both how data is collected and why it matters.

Someone who enjoys solving technical problems, working with different teams and making sure that business decisions are based on data people can trust.

You don't need to be a data scientist or a marketing specialist. But you should be comfortable working at the intersection of software engineering, analytics and growth.

We'd love to meet you if...

  • You have a software engineering experience, with hands-on exposure to tracking, analytics or data integrations.

  • You have implemented and maintained event tracking across websites, applications or acquisition funnels.

  • You're fluent in AI-assisted development : you work with coding agents, create custom skills and instructions, use worktrees to parallelize work and keep code quality high.

  • You're familiar with tools such as Segment, Amplitude, Google Tag Manager or similar platforms.

  • You understand event schemas, data layers, user identification and tracking consistency.

  • You're comfortable working with JavaScript and APIs to implement and troubleshoot tracking.

  • You care about code quality, reliability and maintainability.

  • You enjoy taking ownership of technical projects, from design to production.

  • You're comfortable working in French and English.

Bonus points if you have experience with:

  • Ruby on Rails, Vue.js or Nuxt.js.

  • SQL and data warehouses.

  • Server-side tracking and conversion APIs.

  • A/B testing and experimentation platforms.

  • Attribution, conversion measurement or acquisition analytics.

  • Privacy-conscious tracking and consent management.

  • International websites and multi-market acquisition funnels.

Our technical environment

Our Growth Engineering team works with:

  • Frontend: JavaScript, Vue.js, Nuxt.js

  • Backend: Ruby on Rails

  • Database: PostgreSQL

  • Development: Git, GitHub

  • Analytics & Tracking: Segment, Amplitude and other analytics tools, depending on the project

You'll collaborate closely with our Data teams and contribute to the evolution of our growth tracking infrastructure.

Why you'll love this role

  • Real impact: Your work will help teams understand how users discover and adopt Pennylane.

  • Technical ownership: You'll contribute to the architecture and reliability of our tracking ecosystem.

  • Engineering standards: You'll work on technical challenges that require the same level of rigor as our other engineering teams.

  • Cross-functional exposure: You'll collaborate with Growth, Marketing, Engineering and Data.

  • International scale: You'll help build the data foundations needed to support our expansion across Europe.

  • Continuous improvement: You'll have room to challenge existing implementations, propose better solutions and improve how we measure growth.

If you enjoy building reliable data foundations and want to see your engineering work directly influence growth decisions, we'd love to meet you.
